Description
- Lead the design team to produce innovative and trend-forward womenswear.
- Oversee the creative direction to ensure consistency with the brand's vision and identity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align design strategies with business goals.
- Manage the development of seasonal collections from concept to final product.
- Ensure designs meet market demands and customer expectations within the retail industry.
- Monitor competitor trends and identify new opportunities for the brand.
- Present design concepts and strategies to key stakeholders for approval.
- Mentor and develop team members to achieve their full potential.
- A strong Womenswear Design Director or Womenswear Head of Design with experience in a premium retailer, heritage brand or lifestyle brand.
- Someone who can lead a team but also design themselves.
- Strong experience working closely with buying, merchandising, and brand teams.
- Comfortable presenting at senior level (including owner/board).
- Commercially aware - understand what sells, not just what looks good.
- Deep product knowledge across fabrics, construction, and development.
- Competitive salary ranging from £100,000 to £140,000.
