Position Summary

BAAN CANTEEN is looking for a skilled and motivated Wok cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate is passionate about Asian cuisine, works efficiently in a fast\-paced environment, and has strong experience using wok cooking techniques. The Wok ccok will be responsible for preparing high\-quality dishes while maintaining cleanliness, consistency, and food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook dishes using wok techniques according to BAAN CANTEEN recipes and standards


• Ensure all food is prepared quickly, consistently, and with high quality


• Organize and prepare ingredients before service (mise en place)


• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the wok station and kitchen equipment


• Monitor stock levels and communicate ingredient needs to the kitchen manager


• Follow food safety and sanitation regulations at all times


• Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service during busy periods


• Maintain proper portion control and minimize food waste


• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries when needed

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Wok Cook, Line Cook, or Asian cuisine cook


• Good knowledge of wok cooking techniques and high\-heat cooking


• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast\-paced kitchen


• Strong teamwork and communication skills


• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays


• Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards


• English communication skills preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Thai or Southeast Asian cuisine


• Passion for authentic flavors and street\-food style cooking


• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
