.Service Manager – Mental Health \& Wellbeing

Location: East Riding of Yorkshire (Community\-based with hybrid working) \- Holderness

and Beverley areas

Hours: 25 hours a week

About the role

Wellbeing For Us is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Service Manager to lead the

delivery of our Mental Health and Emotional Wellbeing Community Support Service across

the East Riding of Yorkshire.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a service that supports adults experiencing mental

health and wellbeing challenges through early intervention, community engagement, group

programmes and person\-centred one\-to\-one support.

You will have two direct reports

Working closely with East Riding of Yorkshire Council, local NHS partners, voluntary

organisations and community groups, you will ensure the service delivers high\-quality

support that empowers people to improve their wellbeing, increase independence and build

lasting connections within their communities.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

● Lead the day\-to\-day operational delivery of the Mental Health \& Wellbeing Service.

● Line manage, support and supervise a team of 2 x wellbeing practitioners and

volunteers.

● Develop strong partnerships with statutory, voluntary and community organisations

across East Riding.

● Represent the organisation at partnership meetings, networking events and

community forums.

● Design, develop and facilitate mental health and wellbeing groups, workshops and

courses based on local need.

● Support the development of sustainable peer support groups that continue beyond

initial facilitation.

● Provide person\-centred one\-to\-one support for adults with Care Act eligible needs,

promoting independence, recovery and community inclusion.

● Complete strengths\-based assessments, support plans, referrals and risk

assessments where appropriate.

● Offer information, advice and guidance via telephone, email and face\-to\-face

appointments.

● Maintain accurate case records using the organisation’s case management system.

● Monitor service activity and performance, ensuring contractual targets and outcomes

are achieved.

● Produce quarterly performance reports, analyse service data and present outcomes

to commissioners.

● Attend contract monitoring meetings with commissioners and contribute to service

development.

● Recruit, induct and support volunteers.

● Ensure safeguarding, confidentiality, equality and data protection standards are

maintained at all times.

● Promote the service through community engagement events, awareness campaigns

and local networking opportunities.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

Essential

● Experience managing or coordinating community, health or wellbeing services.

● Experience supporting people experiencing mental health or emotional wellbeing

challenges.

● Experience line managing or supervising staff and/or volunteers.

● Excellent partnership working and stakeholder engagement skills.

● Experience facilitating groups, workshops or training sessions.

● Knowledge of strengths\-based, recovery\-focused and person\-centred approaches.

● Excellent organisational and time management skills.

● Experience maintaining accurate records and producing reports.

● Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office.

● Knowledge of safeguarding adults, confidentiality and data protection.

● A full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.

Desirable

● Knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and adult social care pathways.

● Experience working within commissioned services.

● Experience preparing performance reports for commissioners.

● Mental Health First Aid, ASIST or other relevant mental health qualifications.

Pay: £26,800\.00\-£28,800\.00 per year
