The Opportunity

As a Water Bid Support Engineer at Arup Spain, you will play a key role in supporting the preparation of high\-quality bids across the water sector. Working closely with the Water Business Leader and technical teams, you will contribute to the development of technical proposals, coordinate inputs from multidisciplinary teams, and support the commercial aspects of tender submissions.

This role is primarily focused on bid preparation, with opportunities to support project delivery during peak periods.

As a Water Bid Support Engineer, you will:

• Support the preparation of bids and tenders for water\-related projects across Spain and international markets.


• Coordinate inputs from multidisciplinary teams to produce high\-quality technical proposals.


• Contribute to the development of methodologies, programmes, and supporting documentation.


• Assist with cost estimates and commercial components of bids, working with senior team members.


• Manage documentation, deadlines, and submission requirements throughout the tender process.


• Support the delivery of water engineering projects during peak periods.


• Collaborate with Arup teams across Europe and other regions.

Does this role inspire you?

We are looking for a proactive and organised individual with an interest in the water sector and bid preparation. Ideally, you will bring:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil, Environmental or Water Engineering.


• 3 to 4 years of experience in bid and tender preparation within consultancy or engineering environments in Spain.


• Understanding of the water sector in Spain.


• Strong organisational and coordination skills, with attention to detail.


• Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams


• Fluent Spanish and English, both written and spoken.

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience working in BIM or digital engineering environments


• Good understanding of commercial aspects of projects
