We are looking for a Warehouse Werkstudent to support our supply chain team in keeping our storage running smoothly from goods receiving to inventory control to food safety compliance.
Your mission
Your mission is to keep the warehouse running smoothly so our kitchen team always has what they need, when they need it, at the right quality.
Goods Receiving \& Storage
- Receive and inspect all incoming deliveries.
- Check product temperatures upon receipt.
- Verify shelf life and expiry dates of all ingredients.
- Match delivered goods with invoices and submit documentation to the Supply Chain team.
- Ensure all ingredients are stored in designated locations and not split across multiple storage areas.
- Maintain proper stock organization in freezer, refrigerator, and dry storage areas.
- Perform daily inventory counts.
- Apply FIFO (First In, First Out) stock rotation principles.
- Monitor and update inventory records for food, catering, and non\-food items.
- Transfer inventory between storage locations as required for production schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of products nearing expiry and update tracking reports.
- Organize and file purchase invoices and warehouse documentation.
- Ensure all products are properly labeled and stored safely.
- Monitor storage room temperatures and report temperature logs.
- Prevent cross\-contamination by following food safety standards.
- Remove cardboard packaging before refrigerated storage ("No Cartons in Fridge" policy).
- Communicate any storage location changes to relevant MS Teams or WhatsApp group.
- Prepare and return trays, pallets, roll containers, and other returnable assets.
- Coordinate the efficient movement of stock and warehouse materials.
- Minimize unnecessary storage of returnable equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of refrigerators, freezers, and storage areas.
- Regularly remove ice buildup from freezers (if any).
- Ensure warehouse areas meet hygiene and food safety requirements.
- Monitor daily leftovers and food waste.
- Identify and report excessive leftovers.
- Report products stored beyond approved holding times.
- Dispose of expired, damaged, or unusable items according to company procedures.
- Maintain accurate waste records and communicate issues to management.
You are hands\-on, dependable, and take pride in keeping things organized. You likely bring:
- Currently enrolled in a university program
- Attention to detail and a structured, reliable working style
- Physical fitness for lifting and moving goods
- German or English communication skills for team coordination
- Have experience in a warehouse, kitchen, or logistics environment
- Are familiar with food safety standards (HACCP)
