Full Job Description
UPG are looking for a hands\-on and proactive Warehouse \& Logistics Team Leader to support the day\-to\-day running of our warehouse, stock control, logistics, production support, and despatch operations.
This role is suited to somebody with strong warehouse and forklift experience who is comfortable operating within a fast\-paced manufacturing environment and can help bring structure, organisation, and operational discipline across warehouse and logistics activities.
The successful candidate will play a key hands\-on role supporting the day\-to\-day running of the warehouse, logistics, stock control, and despatch operation within a busy print manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities will include managing warehouse organisation, forklift operations, goods in/out, pallet movements, stock accuracy, despatch preparation, and supporting production teams with operational requirements across the business.
The role requires somebody who is proactive, organised, reliable, and comfortable taking ownership of warehouse standards and workflow, whilst maintaining high levels of health \& safety, housekeeping, and operational discipline.
This role would particularly suit somebody looking to grow with the business long term and develop into a wider operational or management position as UPG continues to expand.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing day\-to\-day warehouse organisation and operational workflow
- Operating forklift trucks safely and efficiently throughout the facility
- Loading and unloading deliveries, supplier vehicles, and courier collections
- Supporting production teams with movement of boards, packaging, materials, and finished products
- Assisting with palletising, wrapping, labelling, and shipment preparation
- Supporting stock control and warehouse accuracy
- Conducting regular stock takes and material checks
- Ensuring warehouse areas remain clean, safe, and operationally organised
- Carrying out daily forklift and warehouse equipment checks
- Supporting operational planning and despatch priorities where required
- Assisting with coordination and support of warehouse operatives where applicable
- Reporting any stock discrepancies, damages, non\-conformances, or safety concerns to management
- Maintaining high standards of health \& safety and housekeeping at all times
- Previous warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or despatch experience
- Valid forklift licence/certificate required
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Comfortable working within a fast\-paced production environment
- Able to take ownership and work independently
- Positive, proactive, and team\-focused attitude
- Good understanding of warehouse operations and stock control
- Reliable, punctual, and operationally minded
- Comfortable with manual handling and physical work
- Keen to develop and grow within the business long term
- Ambitious and motivated to progress into a wider operational or management role as the business expands
- 07:30 – 17:30
- 1\-hour unpaid lunch break daily
- 45 paid hours per week
