Warehouse Supervisor

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, this is a hands\-on role to optimise our logistical and warehouse storage operation. You will supervisor a small team to ensure the smooth movement of our products from manufacturing to distribution; plus delivery of raw materials and supplies.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, as well as a counterbalance forklift license and trained shunter driver.

Main responsibilities:

• Effective contribution to the achievement of First Circle business plan by focussing on key KPI targets, driving accountability and consistently challenging and involving the team to achieve results.


• Review \& rotate stock levels by product and advise manufacturing with regard to any physical stock level discrepancies.


• Carry out and control stock counts as per the count procedure, to include full month end stock counts and archive as required.


• Safe movement of trailer units on site driving the shunter into storage and loading bays.


• Support the warehouse team in loading and unloading trailers using the forklift truck.


• Housekeeping responsibility – ensure all Warehouse areas are improved/maintained.


• Maintenance and adherence of Site Hygiene and Quality standards and procedures.


• Control product storage and location and maximise capacity.


• Attend and undertake any relevant training courses, company meetings, and customer visits both during and outside normal working hours.


• Ensure all customer returns are correctly logged with the appropriate documentation history to the Warehouse Manager.


• To control overtime and agency costs via the Warehouse Manager ensuring costs are justified in advance and remain within agreed budget levels.


• To control and re\-cycle all warehouse waste materials.

• Proven experience in a similar role with leadership skills and the ability to lead by example.


• Organisation skills and attention to detail is essential.


• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
