Warehouse/Store Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a reliable and proactive Warehouse/Store Assistant to join our team. This role involves supporting the efficient operation of our warehouse, managing stock, and assisting with various materials handling tasks. The successful candidate will play a vital part in ensuring smooth logistics and inventory management within our organisation.

Duties

• Assist with stock organisation, stocking shelves, and maintaining inventory accuracy


• Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently


• Handle materials, including loading and unloading goods from lorries or vans


• Support shipping and receiving processes, ensuring timely dispatch and receipt of goods


• Pick and pack orders accurately for delivery or storage


• Utilise warehouse management systems to track stock levels and update records


• Perform basic mechanical tasks related to warehouse equipment maintenance


• Ensure health and safety standards are adhered to at all times, including heavy lifting protocols


• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment

Requirements

• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently


• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in stock management


• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team


• Flexibility to adapt to varying tasks within the warehouse setting

Pay: Up to £24,000\.00 per year
