About The Role
The Inventory Planner is responsible for overseeing the organisation, accuracy and movement of stock within the warehouse. Acting as a central point of contact for stock\-related queries, the role ensures products are received, stored, located and dispatched efficiently, supporting the smooth day\-to\-day operation of the business.
Key Responsibilities
● Coordinate the receipt and storage of incoming goods, ensuring stock is accurately recorded and stored in designated locations.
● Maintain an organised warehouse layout and stock location system to maximise efficiency and accessibility.
● Act as the primary point of contact for stock\-related queries and assist in locating products when required.
● Monitor stock levels and stock movements, ensuring inventory records remain accurate.
● Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, missing items and inventory issues.
● Coordinate and plan outgoing shipments in line with business requirements.
● Work closely with warehouse, sales support and logistics teams to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
● Support stock takes and cycle counts, ensuring any variances are identified and investigated.
● Maintain inventory management systems and ensure all stock movements are recorded accurately.
● Identify opportunities to improve stock control processes, warehouse organisation and operational efficiency.
● Produce stock and inventory reports as required.
● Ensure stock is stored safely and in accordance with company procedures.
● Support the wider operations team with inventory and logistics\-related projects.
Skills \& Experience
Essential
● Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
● Good administrative and computer skills.
● Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
● Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues across different departments.
● At least 2 years of experience working within a warehouse, logistics, inventory, stock control or operational environment.
● Experience using inventory management or warehouse management systems.
● Understanding of stock control principles and inventory processes.
● Experience investigating stock discrepancies and improving operational processes.
● Full, clean driving license due to occasional travel between our Cwmbran sites.
