Warehouse & Procurement Manager
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
ACE Grading is scaling fast, and our warehouse is at the centre of that growth. We are creating a single point of ownership for everything that moves through it what we buy, how stock is held and controlled, how orders ship out, and how the space runs safely day to day.
This is a hands\-on management role with room to grow. It suits someone who is happy to do the work now and lead others doing it later.
We need a capable operator who brings structure to logistics and procurement and runs the warehouse well. Hands\-on, organised, commercially minded.
*Key responsibilities will include but not limited to:*
- Day to day operations running the warehouse end to end: receiving, storage, picking, packing, dispatch and returns, with clear standards for each.
- Procurement sourcing suppliers, raising and managing purchase orders, negotiating terms and price, and keeping a reliable supply of the consumables and materials the business runs on.
- Stock, inventory control owning stock accuracy through cycle counts and full counts, setting reorder points, and reducing both stockouts and overstock.
- Shipping/logistics managing outbound orders and carrier relationships, controlling shipping cost and delivery times, and resolving issues quickly.
- Health \& safety keeping the warehouse a safe and compliant place to work, including risk assessments, safe systems of work and equipment checks.
- Structure designing and embedding the processes, controls and documentation that logistics, procurement and stock run on, and improving them as the business grows.
- Reliability: stock accuracy is high and stockouts are rare.
- Cost: procurement and shipping costs are controlled and improving.
- Service: orders ship on time, in full.
- Safety: the warehouse is safe, tidy and audit\-ready.
- Structure: logistics and procurement run on clear, documented processes that hold as volumes grow.
Essential
- a track record of bringing structure and process to a logistics, warehouse or procurement operation.
- solid grounding in stock control and inventory management.
- experience sourcing suppliers and negotiating purchase orders, terms and pricing.
- working knowledge of warehouse health and safety duties.
- confident with warehouse or stock systems and comfortable working from data.

- experience setting up or improving warehouse processes from an early stage.

- a relevant qualification in logistics, supply chain or procurement (for example CIPS).
You will join a business in a genuine growth phase and take real ownership from day one. This is a rare chance to shape a warehouse function and the team that runs it, rather than inherit one that is already fixed in place. The work you do here will scale with the company.
