Warehouse Operative

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for various tasks related to materials handling, inventory management, and shipping and receiving operations. Responsibilities

• Handling materials efficiently, including loading, unloading, and moving stock throughout the warehouse


• Operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and effectively


• Managing inventory using the warehouse management system to ensure accurate stock levels


• Picking and packing orders accurately to meet customer specifications


• Stocking shelves and organising storage areas to optimise space utilisation


• Assisting with shipping and receiving processes, including documentation and label application


• Conducting quality control checks on products to identify defects or discrepancies


• Performing mechanical tasks related to equipment maintenance or troubleshooting as needed


• Ensuring the warehouse environment remains clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations

Requirements

• Proven experience in warehouse operations or logistics preferred


• Familiarity with materials handling techniques and equipment operation, including forklift certification is advantageous


• Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) is desirable


• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently


• Mechanical aptitude or basic mechanical knowledge is a plus


• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in picking, packing, and inventory management


• Good understanding of shipping \& receiving procedures and documentation requirements


• Physical fitness to work in a demanding environment with prolonged periods of standing or movement


• A proactive attitude towards safety practices and quality standards

Pay: £12\.71\-£13\.00 per hour
