Location: Newbury, Berkshire, RG14 5SH
Salary: £29,000- £33,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm (40 hours per week) 30 Minute lunch
Contract: Permanent
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Warehouse Operative to join our busy warehouse team at our headquarters in Newbury. Reporting to the General Manager and Director, you will play a key role in ensuring customer orders are picked, packed and dispatched accurately and efficiently for next-day delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick, pack and dispatch customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Process customer orders using internal systems.
- Book consignments through courier and carrier dispatch platforms.
- Receive, inspect and store incoming goods.
- Prepare outgoing shipments for collection and delivery.
- Load and unload delivery vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate stock locations, stock movements and stock rotation processes.
- Support stock control activities, including stock checks and product relabelling.
- Replenish picking locations and assist with warehouse organisation.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping, cleanliness and safety throughout the warehouse.
- Prepare for incoming deliveries and support product assembly or preparation for dispatch where required.
- Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency and processes.
- Undertake additional warehouse duties as required to support the smooth running of the department.

- Good general IT skills, including confidence using computer systems and warehouse/order processing software.

- Previous experience within a warehouse, logistics or distribution environment.
- Experience using Sage 50 or other Sage business software.
- Experience using courier dispatch systems such as DPD, DHL, APC or similar.
- Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence.
- First Aid at Work certification.
