Warehouse Operative – Parcel Handling

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and physically fit Warehouse Operative to join our fast\-paced courier operations team. The ideal candidate will have experience in handling parcels and boxes, ensuring accurate sorting, labelling, scanning, and timely dispatch of shipments. This role is crucial to maintaining efficient logistics operations and delivering exceptional service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, unload, and sort incoming parcels and boxes


• Scan and label packages accurately using handheld scanners


• Organise and stack parcels for dispatch according to delivery routes


• Ensure parcels are handled with care to avoid damage


• Maintain cleanliness and order in the warehouse area


• Assist in inventory checks and basic record\-keeping


• Follow health and safety standards at all times


• Communicate effectively with drivers, supervisors, and warehouse team

• Previous warehouse or courier company experience preferred


• Knowledge of parcel handling procedures and safety standards


• Ability to lift and move boxes up to 25 \- 30 kg


• Good attention to detail and time management skills


• Basic understanding of English (reading labels, following instructions)


• Must be punctual, reliable, and a team player


• Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends if required

Job Types: Full\-time, Part\-time

Pay: £12\.21\-£12\.44 per hour
