Warehouse Operative

North Cork Electrical Ltd is looking for a reliable and organised Warehouse Operative to join our growing team in Mallow.

We are a busy electrical and Solar PV contractor carrying out installations throughout Munster. Our warehouse supports multiple installation crews every day, so accuracy, organisation and reliability are extremely important in this role.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day\-to\-day handling, preparation and organisation of electrical and Solar PV equipment within our warehouse.

Your duties will include:

• Picking and preparing materials for upcoming installation jobs


• Checking each job against picking lists/BOMs to ensure all required materials are supplied


• Loading and unloading company vehicles and supplier deliveries


• Receiving deliveries and checking quantities against delivery dockets and purchase orders


• Putting stock away correctly and maintaining an organised warehouse


• Monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages


• Carrying out regular stock counts


• Recording stock movements accurately


• Preparing solar panels, inverters, batteries, mounting equipment and electrical materials for installation crews


• Keeping job materials clearly separated and labelled


• Maintaining a clean, safe and well\-organised warehouse


• Assisting with returns, damaged goods and supplier collections


• Working closely with our Operations and Purchasing teams


• Ensuring installation crews can leave the warehouse with complete job packs and without unnecessary delays

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who is:

• Reliable and punctual


• Highly organised


• Accurate when checking quantities and materials


• Comfortable working in a busy warehouse environment


• Physically capable of handling warehouse materials


• Able to work independently and take responsibility for their area


• Comfortable using computers/tablets for stock control


• Willing to learn our products and systems


• Able to communicate effectively with office staff, electricians and installation crews

Previous experience in a warehouse, stores, electrical wholesaler, construction supplier or stock\-control environment would be an advantage.

Knowledge of electrical or Solar PV equipment would also be beneficial, but training can be provided to the right person.

A full clean driving licence is desirable.

Forklift experience/certification would be an advantage.
