Warehouse Operative

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing materials, assisting with shipping and receiving, and supporting overall warehouse operations. Responsibilities

• Handling materials through picking, packing, and stock replenishment to ensure timely order fulfilment


• Operating forklifts and other warehouse machinery safely and effectively


• Managing shipping and receiving processes, including documentation and inventory control


• Utilising warehouse management systems to track stock levels and update records accurately


• Assisting with loading and unloading lorries, ensuring proper handling of goods


• Conducting quality control checks to maintain high standards of product integrity


• Organising stock storage areas for optimal space utilisation and accessibility


• Supporting mechanical maintenance tasks as required to ensure equipment functionality


• Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment in compliance with health and safety regulations

Qualifications

• Previous experience in warehousing or logistics is highly desirable


• Knowledge of materials handling techniques and warehouse operations


• Valid forklift licence or willingness to obtain one upon employment


• Experience in shipping \& receiving processes, including documentation procedures


• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift


• Mechanical knowledge or basic repair skills are a plus


• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in stock management and quality control tasks


• Good physical fitness with the ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual handling tasks effectively

Pay: £12\.71 per hour
