Warehouse Operative - Afternoon Shift

Location: Leicester, LE3 8FB

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 30+ hours per week

Shift: Afternoon/PM shifts

Job Type: Ongoing work

We are currently recruiting for Warehouse Operatives to join a busy and fast-paced operation working on behalf of a well-known national delivery company.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands-on warehouse environment but is also confident using computers and technology. Alongside parcel sorting, you will play an important role in supporting the smooth running of the operation by tracking stock, monitoring drivers and assisting with route debriefs.

The Role

As a Warehouse Operative, your responsibilities will include:

• Sorting and processing parcels accurately and efficiently


• Loading and unloading parcels where required


• Tracking stock and parcels using computer systems


• Monitoring driver movements and routes


• Assisting with the debriefing of drivers at the end of their routes


• Updating systems with accurate information


• Identifying and resolving basic operational issues


• Working closely with the warehouse and transport teams


• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment


• Following all company health & safety procedures

We are looking for candidates who are:

• Computer literate and confident using IT systems


• Technically minded with good attention to detail


• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment


• Organised and able to manage multiple tasks


• Reliable, punctual and hardworking


• Confident communicating with drivers and colleagues


• Able to work independently as well as part of a team


• Physically fit and comfortable with a hands-on warehouse role


• Previous warehouse, logistics, transport or parcel experience is advantageous but not essential

• Monday to Friday – no weekend work


• 30+ hours per week


• Afternoon/PM shifts
