Warehouse Operative/Forklift Driver

Life Couriers UK are a successful Logistics Service Provider, operating in a variety of fast\-paced sectors, including Healthcare, Marketing \& Events and E commerce, where service and innovation make the difference.

Currently with 8 depots across the UK, we continue to expand and are now looking for more Warehouse Operatives to join our dynamic team in Luton! This is a permanent role, 40 hours per week Monday to Friday with flexibility.

As a Warehouse Operative you would support the Warehouse team to ensure the smooth operation of the warehouse on a day\-to\-day basis.

Your duties would include picking and packing, completing stock checks, product refurbishment, assisting with deliveries and stock transfers.

You would need to comply with Health and Safety regulations and ensure the warehouse is kept tidy and clean at all times. An FLT license is essential for this role.

Key activities:

• Take delivery of goods and supplies


• Check for damaged or missing items


• Store goods appropriately


• Pick and pack orders for dispatch


• Move stock around either by hand, using lifting equipment or a forklift truck


• Load goods for dispatch


• Ensure delivery of materials to production lines in accordance with production standards


• Input data regarding stock and inventory into a computerised system


• Keep accurate stock records


• Carry out stock counts as and when required


• Keep paperwork up to date


• Ensure that all lifting and maneuvering of product is carried out in accordance with manual handling procedures


• Operate in a safe manner complying with all health, safety and environmental requirements to ensure own and safety of others


• Handle any hazardous materials in an appropriate manner


• Keep areas of work clean and tidy to ensure operational efficiency


• Make recommendations to aid efficiency and add value


• Ensure that items are properly stacked and secured inside the delivery vehicle
