Job Summary
We are seeking a disciplined and versatile warehouse operative / dray person to join our expanding team and streamline our supply chain. Previous warehouse experience is advantageous but full training will be provided for the right applicant. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their skills within a dynamic environment. This position requires lifting some heavy objects (barrels of beer), attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast\-paced environment.
Duties
- Ensuring all warehouse operations comply with safety standards and company policies
- Checking incoming goods for damage or missing items and verifying paperwork
- Perform picking and packing of orders accurately, ensuring that all items are correctly selected and prepared for shipment
- Handle materials with care during loading and unloading processes to prevent damage
- Ensure warehouse cleanliness and safety standards are upheld
- Engage in heavy lifting as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
- Some driving in our vans to help deliver to customers via different routes in the north
- Safe and competent driver
- Strong handling skills, including heavy lifting and manual dexterity
- Experience with stock management, shipping \& receiving, picking \& packing
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast\-paced environment
- Good communication and organisational skills with attention to detail
- Proven experience in warehousing or logistics environments preferred
- Competence operating forklifts and familiarity with warehouse management systems advantageous
Pay: From £13\.00 per hour
