Goldenfry Foods is looking for an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to lead our warehousing and logistics function, covering three internal warehouses and line services within a 24/7 food manufacturing operation.
You will take ownership of the people, equipment and daily activities within Logistics, ensuring safe, efficient operations that meet production needs and customer requirements. You will also deliver measurable improvements in performance, team capability, training and cost control.
Your responsibilities
- Lead the logistics team across all shifts, setting clear expectations and ensuring compliance with Health and Safety, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Manage inbound deliveries of raw materials and packaging, ensuring accurate receipt, storage and availability for production.
- Manage outbound deliveries, ensuring orders meet customer requirements in full.
- Work closely with Shift Managers to plan and manage line services, keeping production supplied across all shifts.
- Maintain stock accuracy through effective stock controls, checks and investigation of discrepancies.
- Develop the team through training, coaching and competency reviews, ensuring consistent standards across day and night shifts.
- Manage the onsite logistics equipment fleet, working with external service providers to ensure equipment is safe, maintained and available.
- Identify and deliver projects that improve processes, increase efficiency and optimise costs.
- Monitor performance against agreed targets and take action to address issues.
- Organise your time flexibly to provide effective leadership and support across the 24/7 operation.
We are looking for someone with:
- Experience managing warehouse and logistics operations, ideally within food manufacturing or a similarly demanding environment.
- Proven experience leading and developing teams across multiple shifts.
- A strong understanding of warehouse safety, stock control and operational procedures.
- The ability to plan workloads, prioritise competing demands and resolve operational problems.
- A track record of delivering measurable improvements in performance and cost control.
- Clear comunication skills and the ability to work closely with production teams and external service providers.
Pay: £45,000\.00\-£55,000\.00 per year
