Warehouse Manager
Role Purpose
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the effective operation of the warehouse, ensuring accurate stock control, efficient dispatch and return of parts, and full compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards. The role includes managing tools and calibration processes and working closely with managers across the business to support operational needs.
*\*This role requires the ability to drive company vehicles, so a full UK driving licence is essential. Due to insurance requirements, we can only consider applicants who meet the criteria for being insured to drive company vehicles (DBS check required for insurance).\**
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day\-to\-day warehouse operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and organised storage of materials, parts, and tools
- Operate and maintain the CAFM system to:
- Undertake accurate stock control
- Record goods inwards and outwards
- Track part usage, dispatches, and returns
- Liaise with all managers and relevant departments to:
- Arrange timely dispatch of parts
- Coordinate the return of parts for repair, refurbishment, or credit
- Maintain accurate stock levels and carry out regular stock audits and reconciliations
- Ensure all warehouse activities are carried out in line with ISO 9001 quality management standards
- Manage company tools, including:
- Issuing and tracking tools
- Maintaining tool registers
- Ensuring tools are fit for purpose
- Arrange and manage the calibration of tools and equipment, including:
- Sending tools for calibration
- Tracking calibration schedules
- Maintaining calibration records and certificates
- Identify and implement improvements to warehouse processes and stock control systems
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the warehouse
- Manage suppliers and couriers as required to support warehouse operations
- Supporting the fleet department:
o Assist with unloading vans, returning stock to the warehouse, and ensuring vehicles are cleaned and prepared for new starters or when returned to the depot.
o Fit and remove plug‑and‑play vehicle trackers as required. Full training will be provided.
o Support the fleet department when required / cover for holidays
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in a warehouse or stores management role
- Experience using CAFM systems for stock control and asset management
- Strong understanding of ISO 9001 quality management systems
- Experience managing tools and calibration processes by using a third party
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with managers and teams
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Competent IT skills, including inventory and reporting systems
- General house keeping of warehouse
- Report any accidents or near misses or improvements that can be made.
- Knowledge of engineering, facilities management, or maintenance environments
8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday \- Friday. There may sometimes be flexibility required to suit business needs.
Pay:
£29,000 \- £32,000 per annum DOE.
