Location: Denton
Hours: 35 hours per week \+ Ad hoc weekend work (Opportunity to boost pay through overtime)
Holiday: You will also be entitled to 20 days holiday and 8 days bank holiday pay per year, you will also get your birthday paid as a day off if it falls on a week day.
About the Role
We are looking for a highly organised, hands\-on Warehouse \& Construction Manager to join our growing team. This is a hybrid role combining warehouse management with bespoke construction and fabrication.
You will be responsible for ensuring our warehouse operates efficiently while leading the development of our in\-house construction capabilities. As the business grows, this role has the potential to evolve into a full\-time construction leadership position.
This is a key role within the company and will be central to delivering extraordinary projects for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Management
- Oversee day\-to\-day warehouse operations
- Manage inventory and stock control systems
- Organise and optimise stock storage
- Ensure the warehouse is clean, tidy, and well maintained
- Pick, prepare, and quality\-check stock for events
- Check stock back in after events and report or repair any damage
- Maintain accurate stock records
- Ensure all equipment and décor is in excellent condition
- Manage and support the warehouse team
- Work closely with the Operations team
- Take responsibility for health \& safety compliance
- Develop and grow the company’s construction and build department
- Lead bespoke build projects including:
- Simple stage builds (set carpenter experience is a positive)
- Backdrops and structures
- Table plans and centrepieces
- Large\-scale floral frameworks
- Work with the Sales team to cost and scope construction projects
- Source appropriate materials and suppliers
- Produce technical drawings and fabrication plans
- Carry out joinery, carpentry, and craftsmanship work
- Undertake painting, spraying, and finishing work
- Maintain and safely use tools and machinery
- Explore and experiment with new materials and techniques
- Attend site visits to measure and scope projects
- Assess feasibility and build methods
- Support installation and build on\-site when required
- Collaborate with design, sales, and production teams
- Help build and lead a future construction team
- You will have the opportunity to go onsite and be part of our installations team (however this role will be predominantly warehouse based)
- Proven experience in warehouse management and/or construction
- Strong joinery and craftsmanship skills
- Technically minded with the ability to produce simple drawings and plans if required
- Confident using tools and workshop equipment
- Highly organised and detail\-oriented
- Strong problem\-solving ability
- Comfortable working in a fast\-paced environment
- Basic understanding of production and lighting (desirable but not essential)
- Experience working on creative or event\-based builds (desirable)

If you have a warehouse and event management background that will be a bonus, in addition to holding a IPAF certification. Spray painting experience would also be advantageous, plus any basic electrical/lighting work.
