What You’ll Be Doing
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for leading the onsite OnLogistics warehouse operation, ensuring the delivery of excellent customer service, high standards of health and safety, inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and full compliance with contractual Service Level Agreements (SLAs). As the senior operational representative on site, the role is accountable for planning, controlling, and executing all warehouse activities in line with customer requirements, contractual obligations, and agreed Scope of Works (SOW).
The role provides leadership and direction to the Warehouse Supervisor, Warehouse Administrator, and wider warehouse team, while building strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders. Combining operational leadership, contract management, health and safety compliance, inventory control, and continuous improvement, the Warehouse Manager is responsible for driving performance, supporting contract mobilisation, and ensuring the long\-term success and growth of the operation.

- Remain flexible to meet operational requirements, including working shift patterns and out\-of\-hours duties when required.
- Take ownership of personal performance by consistently working towards and achieving agreed KPIs and performance standards.
- Act as the primary operational lead for the OnLogistics warehouse operation, ensuring all activities are delivered in line with contractual requirements, SLAs, and the agreed Scope of Works (SOW).
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders, always representing OnLogistics professionally.
- Lead customer engagement through operational meetings, performance reviews, and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), promoting a customer\-first culture.
- Monitor operational performance, proactively identifying and escalating risks, service concerns, and resource requirements to maintain service excellence.
- Support business growth and development opportunities within customer accounts, ensuring operational delivery remains aligned with commercial and strategic objectives.
- Lead the successful mobilisation of new customer contracts, taking ownership from contract award through to stable business\-as\-usual operation.
- Develop and manage comprehensive onboarding plans with key stakeholders, ensuring all contractual requirements, operational processes, KPIs, SLAs, and reporting structures are established prior to go\-live.
- Coordinate warehouse readiness, including WMS configuration, stock setup, labour planning, equipment, storage capacity, and infrastructure requirements.
- Ensure all SOPs, work instructions, training, risk assessments, and Health \& Safety controls are completed, approved, and communicated before implementation.
- Manage go\-live activities, operational readiness reviews, stock transfers, and post\-implementation reviews, ensuring issues are resolved promptly and lessons learned are captured for continuous improvement.
- Lead, manage, and develop the OnLogistics warehouse team, creating a culture of accountability, engagement, and operational excellence.
- Set clear performance expectations and objectives, conducting regular one\-to\-one meetings and performance reviews to support individual and team development.
- Work closely with the Warehouse Supervisor and wider management team to ensure effective communication and operational alignment.
- Ensure labour resources, skills, and training levels are effectively planned to meet customer demand and operational requirements.
- Optimise labour costs by managing staffing levels, minimising agency usage where possible, and supporting succession planning and employee development in partnership with HR.
- Lead the successful transition of new warehouse contracts from mobilisation into stable, efficient business\-as\-usual operations, ensuring clear KPIs, reporting, and communication processes are established.
- Oversee and manage all warehouse activities, including inbound, storage, replenishment, picking, packing, and dispatch, ensuring customer orders are fulfilled accurately and within agreed service levels.
- Monitor operational performance throughout the day, identifying risks, resolving issues, and implementing corrective actions to maintain service excellence.
- Plan and coordinate labour, MHE, storage capacity, and equipment resources to optimise productivity, efficiency, and operational performance.
- Drive continuous improvement, budget management, and team development through effective coaching, mentoring, and operational leadership in partnership with HR.
- Take ownership of inventory accuracy across the warehouse operation, ensuring all stock movements are recorded accurately within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Lead stock counting programmes, inventory audits, and reconciliation activities, investigating discrepancies and implementing corrective and preventative actions.
- Monitor stock integrity, traceability, storage conditions, and inventory accuracy performance to ensure customer and contractual requirements are met.
- Manage aged, damaged, quarantined, and non\-conforming stock, ensuring appropriate controls and processes are maintained.
- Produce accurate inventory reporting for customers and OnLogistics management, ensuring customer stock is protected and managed in line with contractual obligations.
- Oversee all administrative activities supporting customer contracts, ensuring operational transactions are completed accurately and within required timescales.
- Maintain and review customer KPI reports, management information, and operational performance dashboards to support informed decision\-making.
- Ensure all operational documentation, records, and audit trails are accurate, compliant, and maintained in line with company and customer requirements.
- Support invoicing, charge capture, and reporting processes, ensuring all billable activities are correctly recorded and documented.
- Monitor and record additional or non\-standard operational activities to ensure accurate customer charging and contractual compliance.
- Deliver agreed customer KPIs, contractual service levels, and operational objectives, ensuring consistent performance across the warehouse operation.
- Monitor operational performance data, trends, and customer requirements, taking proactive action to address risks, service failures, and performance gaps.
- Lead investigations into customer complaints, service issues, and operational failures, implementing effective corrective and preventative actions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance service quality, productivity, efficiency, and cost performance, while supporting the implementation of new processes and systems.
- Promote Lean principles, best practice, and knowledge sharing across the wider OnLogistics operation to support operational excellence and long\-term growth.
- Oversee customer returns processing and reverse logistics activities.
- Ensure Value Added Services (VAS) activities are delivered accurately and efficiently.
- Manage customer projects including reworks, stock relocations and promotional activities.
- Ensure all non\-standard activities are planned, controlled and reported effectively.
- Ensure additional customer activity is appropriately authorised and commercially captured.
- Lead by example in promoting a positive Health \& Safety culture, ensuring compliance with all OnLogistics policies, procedures, customer requirements, and legal obligations.
- Conduct regular workplace inspections, operational audits, and compliance reviews to identify and mitigate operational risks.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, implementing effective corrective and preventative actions within agreed timescales.
- Ensure all equipment, risk assessments, Safe Systems of Work, and operational controls remain current, effective, and compliant.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping, operational discipline, and site safety, ensuring employees, agency workers, contractors, and visitors adhere to all Health \& Safety requirements.
