Warehouse Manager

Luminaire is a scenic and technical production company based in Wimbledon, delivering high\-end brand activations, corporate events and luxury private celebrations across some of London's most prestigious venues.
We work across AV, scenic fabrication and technical production, and our reputation is built on meticulous attention to detail, strong client relationships and the quality of everything we put our name to. We are a small, ambitious team and we take real pride in what we produce.
The Role
This is a senior operational role at the heart of the business. As Warehouse \& Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the day\-to\-day running of our warehouse and operational functions, ensuring that AV equipment, scenic pieces and technical production kit are prepared, despatched and returned accurately, on time and to the standards our clients expect.
You will report directly to the Managing Director and lead the warehouse and operations team, with full responsibility for equipment management, logistics, compliance, staffing and process improvement.
This is not a desk\-only role. We are looking for someone who leads by example and stays actively involved in the practical operation of the business.
The role covers:
- Warehouse and logistics management across AV, scenic and technical production equipment Technical equipment management and quality control Team leadership and day\-to\-day staff management Operational planning and resource scheduling Health \& Safety compliance and documentation Process improvement and operational development Hands\-on support in a fast\-paced live events environment
We need someone with direct, hands\-on experience in a technical and scenic production environment. Specifically, we are looking for:
- Proven warehouse management experience within AV, scenic fabrication or technical event production Working knowledge of AV equipment including lighting, audio and video systems Familiarity with scenic construction and fabrication processes, and the equipment and materials involved Experience managing a production warehouse: prep, despatch, returns, stock control and maintenance Proven experience leading teams in a fast\-paced operational environment Experience using rental, inventory or warehouse management systems Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail A practical, hands\-on approach and a calm head under pressure Strong communication skills and a professional manner Flexibility regarding working hours during busy event periods
