Your role…
We are seeking an experienced and structured Warehouse \& Internal Logistics Supervisor to support and coordinate our warehouse operations within a manufacturing environment producing industrial road tanker trailers and tank containers.
The successful candidate will lead a team of approximately 10 warehouse employees and ensures the efficient flow of materials from receiving through to production, aftermarket support and export shipments. While this is primarily a supervisory role, the position requires a practical, hands\-on approach and a willingness to be involved in daily operations.
The role is focused on execution, team coordination and continuous improvement of our processes to support our Just\-in\-Time production requirements.
Your responsibilities…
Team leadership;
- Coordinate the daily activities of the warehouse team.
- Allocate work and set priorities according to production requirements.
- Monitor performance and ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
- Train, coach, and support warehouse team.
- Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Oversee receiving, storage, picking, staging, packing and dispatch activities.
- Ensure efficient processing of daily supplier deliveries.
- Maintain warehouse organization and material traceability.
- Support accurate stock control and inventory management.
- Ensure safe, clean, and efficient warehouse operations.
- Coordinate warehouse capacity and workflow to support production demand.
- Assist with periodic stock counts and inventory verification activities.
- Ensure timely material supply to production lines.
- Coordinate Kanban and two\-bin replenishment systems.
- Manage material staging and preparation areas.
- Support Just\-in\-Time material flow to production.
- Work closely with Production, Planning and Procurement teams to address material priorities.
- Coordinate preparation of export container shipments.
- Coordinate with logistics providers and freight forwarders.
- Ensure accurate packing and shipment documentation.
- Support aftermarket and spare parts operations.
- Support after\-sales and spare parts distribution with timely fulfilment.
- Assist in meeting customer delivery commitments.
- Identify and drive warehouse process optimisation and efficiency improvements.
- Monitor key operational performance indicators.
- Implement and enforce standard operating procedure.
- Track and improve warehouse KPIs (accuracy, service level, lead time, productivity).
- Assist with ERP system and process improvement initiatives.
- Minimum 5 years experience in a warehouse, logistics and/or manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience leading / supervising an operational team.
- Good understanding of warehouse operations and inventory control.
- Experience supporting production environments and material flow processes.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to prioritize work in a fast\-paced manufacturing environment.
- Good computer literacy and experience working with ERP systems.
- Strong communication and problem\-solving abilities.
- Experience within manufacturing, fabrication, heavy equipment, trailers, automotive, or industrial engineering environments.
- Knowledge of export shipments and shipping documentation.
- Experience with Kanban or two\-bin replenishment systems are an advantage.
- Experience supporting Just\-in\-Time production systems is an advantage.
