Warehouse and Dispatch Operative
Working 7am to 4\.30pm Monday to Thursday and 7am to 3\.30pm Friday
Requires DBS check and proof of 5 years employment history
Purpose
To support the efficient operation of the warehouse and dispatch function by carrying out picking, cutting, packing, and order preparation activities.
The role is primarily warehouse\-focused, ensuring goods are processed accurately and on time, with additional responsibility for completing deliveries and collections as required. Working under the Assistant Warehouse \& Dispatch Manager, the role requires teamwork, flexibility, and adherence to operational and safety standards.
Responsibilities
Warehouse \& Dispatch Operations
- Work collaboratively as part of the dispatch team to meet daily output targets
- Pick, cut, pack, and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Process inbound and outbound stock across multiple dispatch areas
- Load and unload deliveries and move stock internally
- Maintain accurate stock control and report any discrepancies
- Keep warehouse areas organised, safe, and aligned to agreed standards
- Carry out deliveries and collections using company vehicles (van and 3\.5t)
- Complete daily vehicle checks and report any faults or issues
- Ensure full compliance with transport legislation and company procedures
- Operate warehouse equipment (including FLT where trained)
- Conduct routine equipment checks
- Follow all Health \& Safety procedures at all times
- Support across different warehouse and dispatch areas as required
- Assist colleagues during busy periods and adapt to changing priorities
- Undertake any other reasonable duties requested by management

Essential
· Full UK driving licence
· Willingness to prioritise warehouse duties, with driving as a secondary responsibility
· Physically capable of manual handling, including picking, cutting, and loading
· Flexible and adaptable across different tasks and departments
· Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
· Good attention to detail and ability to follow processes accurately
· Ability to work from pick sheets and instructions
· Full 5\-year employment history (required for pre\-employment checks)
· Willingness to undertake a DBS check.
Desirable
· Previous warehouse, dispatch, or logistics experience
· FLT licence (Counterbalance or Flexi)
· Experience using SAP or similar systems (training provided)
