Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Waking Night Support Worker to provide essential care and assistance during overnight hours. The role involves supporting children in a children's home home or home care setting, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well\-being throughout the night. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring children, responding to their needs, and maintaining a calm and supportive environment. Responsibilities

  • Monitor childrens' wellbeing throughout the night, ensuring their safety and comfort

  • Respond promptly and effectively to any calls or needs from residents during the shift

  • Follow individual care plans to deliver personalised support and assistance

  • Assist with basic personal care tasks as required, respecting residents' dignity and privacy

  • Maintain accurate records of any incidents or observations during the shift

  • Ensure the environment remains safe, clean, and secure at all times

  • Communicate effectively with team members and healthcare professionals as needed

  • Complete relevant documentation using IT systems efficiently and accurately
Experience
  • Previous experience working within a care home or home care environment is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided

  • Knowledge of care plans and procedures relevant to overnight support roles

  • Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal

  • Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes

  • Driving licence is advantageous but not mandatory; flexibility in travel may be required depending on the role setting
