Cherish Children's Care is looking for a Waking Night Children’s Residential Support Worker to join our dedicated team at our home in Oswaldtwistle. You’ll play a vital role in supporting children and young people who may have experienced trauma, abuse, neglect, or family breakdown, helping them to feel safe, valued, and empowered.

You will be given a minimum of three 12 hour shifts weekly (shifts are 8pm \- 8am)

Please note: This role does not offer visa sponsorship. Applicants must have the legal right to work in the United Kingdom

About the Role

As a Children’s Support Worker, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing emotional and practical support to children and young people aged 8 and 18 years.

  • Supporting with daily routines, including meals, education, appointments, and leisure activities.

  • Helping to develop care plans tailored to each young person’s individual needs.

  • Encouraging independence, life skills, and positive relationships.

  • Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of every child in your care.

  • Maintaining accurate records and working closely with families, social workers, and other professionals.

  • Due to OFSTED regulations, this role requires you to be at least 21 years of age
