We are seeking a VP, Head of Communication and Branding to shape and strengthen COWI’s global communication and branding agenda. In this role, you will define and execute strategies that build our reputation, sharpen our market position, support business performance and create trust among customers, employees and society.

COWI is an international consultancy within engineering, architecture, energy and environment. Together with our customers, we help shape sustainable and liveable societies through projects across infrastructure, buildings and industry, renewable energy, water, climate adaptation and urban development.

You will join COWI at an important point in our development. We are sharpening our market focus, strengthening performance and building a more solid platform for profitable growth. Communication and branding have a central role to play in this journey: strengthening our position in the market, supporting leadership and engaging our people behind the transformation ahead.

Reporting to Group CFO, you will be communication partner to Group CFO and CEO. You will act as a trusted advisor to the Executive Board and Executive Leadership Team, you will manage COWI’s Communication and Branding and ensure that communication is clear, credible and impactful manage an integrated global communication and branding strategy that supports COWI’s strategy, growth ambitions, reputation and brand position

  • Strengthen COWI’s corporate narrative and market positioning, ensuring that our communication reflects the scale, expertise and impact of our business

  • Act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on communication, stakeholder positioning, reputation matters and strategic messaging

  • Ensure communication is a value\-creating capability by connecting corporate, financial, internal, external, media, public affairs, employer branding and ESG communication to business priorities and measurable outcomes

  • Support transformation and growth through clear communication around strategic priorities, organisational changes, M\&A activities and integration of new entities

  • Enable internal communication as a lever for leadership alignment, strategy execution, engagement and change

  • Protect and develop COWI’s reputation through effective communication, strong issues management and sound judgement in critical situations

  • Build, manage and develop an effective Communication and Branding team with clear priorities, strong collaboration and the capabilities needed to support a complex international business

  • Use governance, data, digital channels and AI\-enabled tools to improve quality, consistency, efficiency and impact across communication and branding activities

You understand that communication is not only about making messages clear. It is about making strategy understandable, leadership visible, reputation stronger and people aligned behind what matters most.

On top of that, you will have:

  • Senior leadership experience within corporate communication, branding, reputation management or strategic communication

  • Experience working in a publicly listed company or another complex corporate environment with exposure to investor relations, financial communication or capital markets communication

  • Ability to advise and collaborate with executive leadership and contribute to business strategy and performance

  • Solid business and financial acumen, with the ability to translate communication and branding into tangible business impact

  • Experience developing corporate narratives, executive communication and stakeholder messaging in an international organisation

  • Experience across several communication disciplines, such as corporate communication, media relations, public affairs, internal communication, employer branding, digital communication and brand governance

  • Expertise in reputation management and the ability to navigate critical situations with confidence, clarity and sound judgement

  • Experience building and managing effective, engaged teams in complex, matrix organisations

  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to engage stakeholders across functions, cultures and geographies

  • A data\-driven and digitally skilled approach, including the use of analytics and AI tools to improve communication impact and ways of working

  • Fluency in English and Danish, both written and spoken
