Location: Rugby, Warwickshire

Hours: Flexible

As a Volunteer Communications Expert, you will play an important role in helping our Air Ambulance Service share the stories, impact, and lifesaving work that make a difference across our communities.

Working closely with our team, you will support the development of engaging and meaningful communications that raise awareness, inspire support, and demonstrate how donations, volunteers and partnerships help us save lives.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Support our Marketing and Communications Team with the planning, creation, and scheduling of content across social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and X.

  • Support the rollout of strategic communication plans to deliver key messages and organisational priorities.

  • Create and manage a digital newsletter for all volunteers that promotes our values, volunteering activity, impact, and engagement.

  • Develop engaging posts that showcase volunteer and patient stories (where appropriate), fundraising activities, volunteer contributions, community engagement, partnerships, and organisational achievements.

  • Help communicate the impact of our lifesaving service in a way that is authentic, respectful, and aligned with our brand identity.

  • Ensure consistency in messaging, tone of voice, and visual presentation across all communication platforms.

  • Contribute creative ideas for awareness campaigns, fundraising appeals, events, volunteer recruitment, and seasonal initiatives.

  • Support the development and maintenance of simple content calendars and communication plans.

  • Promote the organisation's mission and values through all communications, helping to strengthen public awareness and support.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • A passion for storytelling and communicating the impact of charitable work.

  • Good understanding of social media platforms, digital communications, and audience engagement.

  • Ability to create clear, compelling, and accurate content.

  • Organised and able to manage tasks effectively within agreed timescales.

  • Creative thinker with an eye for engaging content and emerging communication trends.

  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating with staff and volunteers.

  • Enthusiasm for supporting a charity that delivers critical emergency medical services.
