VIRTUALIZATION ENGINEER
Senior VMware Engineer
We are currently seeking an experienced VMware specialist to support a large\-scale virtualization upgrade project within the renewable energy sector.
The assignment focuses on upgrading VMware environments from version 8 to version 9, ensuring stability, performance, and adherence to best practices across infrastructure operations.
AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY
Lead and execute VMware upgrade activities (v8* v9\)
- Ensure stable and secure virtualization platform operations
- Produce structured, high\-quality technical documentation
- Collaborate with infrastructure and platform teams
- Support planning sessions, workshops, and implementation cycles
QUALIFICATIONS \& COMPETENCIES
- Required Experience \& Competencies:
- Strong hands\-on experience with VMware (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter)
- Proven experience with VMware upgrades, migrations, or lifecycle management
- Ability to work in a structured manner with a strong focus on documentation and quality
- Experience operating in enterprise\-scale IT environments
- Solid troubleshooting and performance optimization skills within virtualized environments
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with infrastructure automation (e.g., Ansible)
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft environments (Windows Server, AD, etc.)
- Familiarity with Linux\-based systems and applications
