Veterinary Receptionist – Full time
Hours: Full time (including some Saturdays on a rota basis) potential start date August 2026\.
Hopefully in August, we will be moving the general practice side of Star Vet Clinic from our present site at Elms Business Park, Appleby to Jubilee Business Park, Appleby Magna, to allow for the expansion of our Referral Services which will remain at Elms Business Park. We will be looking for receptionists for our GP and rehab clinic.

We’re now looking for a Receptionist with experience – preferably in the veterinary or medical field \- to join our growing veterinary team. As the first point of contact for our clients, you’ll play an essential role in ensuring smooth communication, efficient appointment coordination and an outstanding client experience from start to finish.
About the Role
· Welcoming clients and their pets with empathy and professionalism
· Managing consultations, surgical admissions and discharge appointments
· Handling phone calls, emails and messages promptly and compassionately
· Supporting the clinical team with patient records, billing and administrative tasks
· Liaising with referring practices and laboratories
· Maintaining accurate and confidential client and patient information
What We’re Looking For
· Experience: Previous veterinary or medical reception experience is highly desirable
· Skills: Strong computer literacy and confidence using practice management systems
· Personality: Kind, caring and calm, with excellent communication and attention to detail
· Teamwork: The ability to work collaboratively with vets, nurses and support staff in a busy, client\-focused environment
· Passion: A genuine love of animals and a commitment to supporting both pets and their people through every stage of care
