Venue Operations Manager – Stratford, East London

About Us

We're an established late\-night hospitality group based in Stratford, operating a multi\-faceted venue spanning bar, food and shisha. We've built a strong late\-night reputation \- now we're looking for someone to own the standard across the operation and grow our daytime, weekday and early\-evening trade.

About the Role

This is not a maintain\-the\-status\-quo role. You'll own how the venue runs \- service standards, briefings, training and presentation \- and you'll run your own P\&L, with genuine control over the trade you build. We've got the late\-night operation covered; we want you to build the rest.

You'll report to the Managing Director and work alongside our Night Club Manager, who leads the late\-night floor.

Key Responsibilities

• Set and hold service standards across food, drink and shisha \- every shift


• Run pre\-shift briefings, staff training and floor presentation


• Build daytime, weekday and early\-evening trade \-covers, food and shisha


• Manage your own P\&L: revenue, gross profit and labour cost on your dayparts


• Own rotas and staffing spend across your shifts


• Recommend on F\&B and shisha purchasing (central buying team executes)


• Provide operational oversight of the door and security team


• Drive repeat custom and grow covers in quieter periods


• Ensure the highest standards of service delivery at all times

• Minimum 3\+ years' experience in venue, restaurant or hospitality management


• Proven track record of building a daytime, food or shisha trade \- not just maintaining one


• Commercially minded \- comfortable reading a stock sheet and a GP%


• Natural authority on the floor: able to set a standard and hold a room


• Excellent communication and organisational skills


• Hands\-on, energetic and solutions\-focused


• Flexible to work evenings and weekends as required
