We are recruiting 2x Senior Support Workers to join Quarriers Homelife Girvan Supported Living Service, supporting adults to live as independently as possible in their own homes and community.

About the service
Homelife Girvan provides tailored support to individuals with a range of needs, enabling them to live fulfilling, independent lives within their local community. Support is flexible and person\-centred, with a strong focus on choice, inclusion and positive outcomes.
Leadership \& team support
- Acting as a role model, promoting high standards of person\-centred and values\-led support
- Supporting, coaching and guiding colleagues on shift to ensure consistency in practice
- Helping to develop a positive team culture focused on quality, respect and outcomes
- Acting as a key link between the team and management, escalating concerns where appropriate
- Supporting the completion and oversight of accurate records, support plans and documentation
- Maintaining high standards across areas such as medication, health \& wellbeing, and safe practice
- Supporting audits, quality checks and continuous improvement across the service
- Ensuring the service environment is safe, welcoming and meets expected standards
- Providing hands\-on support to the people we support, tailored to their individual needs
- Enabling people to develop independence, make informed choices and achieve their goals
- Supporting access to community activities, relationships, and meaningful opportunities
- Working collaboratively with families and partner agencies
This is a full\-time position (39 hours per week), working 5 days over 7 on a rota basis.
The role includes a combination of direct support and dedicated responsibilities as a Senior, meaning you will be actively involved in supporting individuals while also contributing to the day\-to\-day leadership, organisation and quality of the service.
Flexibility is essential to meet the needs of the people we support, including evenings and weekends.
What we’re looking for
Essential
- Experience in a support role within social care or a similar setting
- A strong commitment to person\-centred care, dignity and inclusion
- Confidence in supporting others and guiding good practice
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Ability to balance hands\-on support with wider responsibilities
- Previous experience in a senior or supervisory role
- SVQ qualification (or willingness to work towards this)
- Driving licence (beneficial depending on service needs)
- You’ll be required to register with the SSSC (where applicable) and maintain this throughout your employment
