Used Car Preparation Manager / Sales Executive

At Ideal Car Centre we are a small independent used car retailer looking for a hard working individual who thrives in a fast pace high pressure environment. We currently have a position available for a Vehicle Preparation Manager which will also incorporate Sales Support, and Handover Specialist roles as well. In addition there is also scope for the right candidate to also be a Used Car Sales Executive or have training to incorporate this role in the future

Duties for the role are mainly assisting the Sales Manager to ensure all cars are fully prepared and ready for sale in a timely and cost effective manner, including liaising with contractors and suppliers. Depending on experience and aptitude the role may also incorporate a sales or sales trainee role and helping the business to ensure it meets sales and profitability targets. The role will also include preparing paperwork and handing over of cars to customers. The role includes admin and paperwork so the successful candidate will need to be computer literate and adept at basic word and excel functions as well as internet literate, in addition to be detail conscious and having outstanding customer service skills. The role will also include some driving duties. You will also be required to help display, advertise and photograph cars as well as ensure they are clean and prepared and displayed ready for sale.

Dependent on experience, relevant training will be given and there is potential for candidates with the ability and aptitude to progress further.

For candidates who also have relevant sales experience this will also incorporate Sales Executive duties. For those without relevant experience it can also incorporate training to transition into Sales Executive duties in addition further down the line.

The successful candidate will be self motivated, enthusiastic and hard working, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work under their own initiative. Experience in the motor industry or sales is highly preferable but not essential for the right candidate, although a full driving licence is required. It is important to be detail focused and computer and internet literate including some basic use of excel and word.

In turn the successful candidate will be rewarded with an OTE of up to £60,000 which is uncapped so outstanding candidates can earn even more.

This is a full time role which will encompass working most weekends. The role works on a 4 week rota basis with a day off during the week every week plus 1 weekend off in every 4\.
