The role of UC Systems Engineer is fundamental to high quality, effective customer support, underpinning much of the core business and Avoira’s commitment to placing the customer first. This UC Systems role has responsibility for carrying out engineering activities requiring an experienced level of core UC skills, alongside a broader understanding of IP endpoint devices across the Avoira product portfolio. Technical knowledge of Avaya IP500, 8x8, and Mitel MiVB platforms, alongside hands\-on experience in CAT5e and CAT6 structured cabling installations and associated infrastructure works is needed
Responsibilities:
- Carry out system installation and maintenance work, ensuring everything is done with the customer as the central focus.
- Demonstrate strong technical knowledge or Avaya IP500,8x8, and mitel MiVB platforms, alongside hands\-on experience in CAT5 and CAT6 structured cabling installations and associated infrastructure works.
- Ability to work with and setup Draytex routers and Watchguard Firewalls
- Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving hardware, software, and other system problems.
- Provide on\-site support for client desktop and hardware requests/incidents.
- Effectively deal with faults and tickets to ensure SLAs for faults are met and provide updates for customers.
- Liaise with Projects and Support teams upon completion of work to ensure jobs are closed, invoiced where required, and customer feedback is arranged.
- Support Sales with technical input and customer insights to ensure solutions are correctly specified and successfully deployed.
- Liaise and collaborate with appropriate Avoira staff as required.
- Participate in the Performance Development Review (PDR) process, engaging in objective setting to support performance monitoring and personal development.
- Keep up to date with technical developments relevant to the specialist knowledge and skillset of the role.
- Actively explore opportunities to broaden technical understanding and support across the wider Avoira UC portfolio.
- Maintain high standards of technical excellence within the team.
- Undertake any other duties commensurate with the role.

- An excellent grounding in the telecommunications industry, with a good knowledge of UC IP technologies and topologies

- Excellent communication skills with accuracy to detail
- Confidence to interact positively with a wide range of customers and internal key stakeholders.

- Understanding of IT products including cabling infrastruture CAT5/6
- Understanding of Microsoft O365
- 8x8 cloud based solution knowledge
- Avaya IP500 knowledge
- Exposure to Mitel MiVB products
- Experience of working to high standards
- Understanding of working to SLA’S
- Based in the Northwest
