Doodles is a family\-run Tyre Auto Centre established in 2015 . Offering vehicle servicing, tyres, maintenance and repairs. Our mobile tyre fitting service operates across Wiltshire and neighbouring counties for roadside assistance during the daytime and evenings. We accept tyre fitting call's up until 9pm on a call out basis rates of pay to be discussed at interview.

Summary

We are seeking a Tyre Auto Centre Manager / Mechanic to join our team in Melksham. This role is vital in ensuring our customers receive top\-quality service whether in the workshop or on breakdowns, contributing to our mission of reliability and customer satisfaction. The role includes mobile tyre fitting with some evenings and weekends this can be discussed at the interview on availability.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the vehicle repairs including tyre fitting service, ensuring efficient workflow both in the workshop and during mobile breakdowns.


• Managing service technicians day to day tasks, ensuring the workmanship meets the standards of the company. (Note no service technicians are currently employed, once the manager has settled in we intend to list a position for this role with the manager to be involved in the hiring process)


• Overall responsibility for both workshop and mobile tyre fitting tasks, replenishing stock and company vehicles.


• Ability to deal directly with front of house customers including phone calls booking in/out customers with a high level of customer service.


• Perform tyre repairs, replacements, and vehicle maintenance with precision.


• Use hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs.


• Assist with heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently.


• Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly and professionally.


• Maintain safety standards and ensure the workshop complies with health and safety regulations.


• Support team members and contribute to a positive working environment.


• Keep accurate records of work performed and parts used.

• Proven mechanical knowledge relevant to vehicle tyre fitting and basic repairs.


• Experience using hand tools and power tools.


• Ability to lift heavy tyres and equipment safely.


• Strong problem\-solving skills and attention to detail.


• Excellent communication skills.


• Prior experience managing or leading a team is preferred but not essential.


• Valid driving license is required.


• A proactive attitude towards safety and customer satisfaction.
