Pro Lawn Ltd is an independent lawn\-care and garden\-services company working across the West of Scotland. We are looking for an experienced Turf Care Training Manager to lead our technicians, develop their skills and maintain high standards of work, safety and customer service.

This is a hands\-on role combining team management, recruitment and field\-based training. You will need strong practical knowledge of turf care, experience managing people and the confidence to assess and coach technicians at customers’ properties.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, support and develop the lawn\-care technician team


• Lead recruitment for technician roles, including interviews and onboarding


• Conduct performance reviews, set clear objectives and address training needs


• Develop and deliver practical training in lawn assessment, treatments, aftercare and equipment use


• Observe technicians at work, assess their competence and provide constructive feedback


• Carry out surveys at customers’ properties and recommend suitable work


• Help maintain training records, risk assessments, COSHH assessments and safe working procedures


• Oversee the safe handling, storage and use of products and equipment


• Ensure specialist work is carried out by appropriately qualified and authorised staff


• Work with management to improve service quality and working methods

What you’ll need

• Previous experience managing a team, including conducting performance reviews


• Experience recruiting and training staff


• Substantial practical experience in lawn care, turf management, greenkeeping or a closely related field


• Current PA1 and PA6 pesticide application certificates


• Strong working knowledge of COSHH, risk assessments and safe working practices


• The ability to assess lawn conditions and explain treatment recommendations to customers


• A full, current UK driving licence


• Good organisation, communication and record\-keeping skills

A training or assessor qualification would be an advantage. Experience with seasonal garden services and relevant machinery or chainsaw certificates would also be useful.

Working hours and travel

• Monday to Thursday: 8:00am–5:00pm, with a one\-hour unpaid lunch break


• Friday: 7:45am–2:45pm, with a 30\-minute unpaid lunch break


• 38\.5 paid hours per week

A company van is provided and may be taken home overnight. Field\-based days will normally begin at the first scheduled customer property, where you must be ready to start at the stated time. You will also attend our Prestwick base when required for team meetings, training, stock or equipment matters.
