We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Trust and Estates team in Northwich on a full\-time basis. This apprenticeship provides an excellent opportunity to build a career in Trust and Estates, combining practical, hands\-on experience in estate and trust administration with structured learning and professional development. Working alongside experienced professionals, you will develop the knowledge, skills, and behaviours required for a successful career in the field. As part of the apprenticeship, we are committed to supporting your progression towards achieving ATT/CTA, or an equivalent professional qualification.

Job Purpose

To support the Trust and Estates team in delivering high\-quality estate and trust administration services, while developing the knowledge, skills, and professional qualifications required for a successful career in Trust and Estates.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the administration of trusts and estates, ensuring all work is completed accurately and within required timescales.

  • Preparing correspondence, reports, and documentation for clients, beneficiaries, solicitors, and HM Revenue \& Customs (HMRC).

  • Supporting the completion of trust and estate tax returns and related compliance work.

  • Maintaining accurate client records and management systems in line with regulatory and firm requirements.

  • Assisting with the preparation of estate accounts and trust accounts.

  • Liaising with clients and third parties to obtain information and documentation required for ongoing trust and estate matters.

  • Supporting the team with inheritance tax calculations and estate planning assignments.

  • Monitoring deadlines and assisting with the timely submission of statutory and tax\-related filings.

  • Conducting research on trust, probate, and taxation matters as required.

  • Providing general administrative support to the Trust and Estates team.

  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with clients through professional and responsive communication.

  • Studying towards ATT/CTA qualification and applying developing technical knowledge to client work.
Requirements
  • A genuine interest in developing a long\-term career within the Trust and Estates profession.

  • A strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues.

  • Well organised with good attention to detail and the ability to manage workload effectively to meet deadlines.

  • Willingness to support colleagues and work collaboratively during busy periods to ensure excellent client service.

  • Able to produce accurate, high\-quality work and take pride in getting things right first time.

  • Proactive and eager to learn, with the confidence to seek guidance when required.

  • Good problem\-solving skills and a positive approach to tackling new challenges.

  • Committed to continuous professional development and keeping up to date with legislation and industry changes.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.

  • Working towards, or interested in studying towards the ATT/CTA qualification would be advantageous.

Hours: 37\.5 hours per week Monday to Friday

Pay: From £25,200\.00 per year
