An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Traffic Controller / Banksman to join AMCO's Transport department in Redditch.

The Role
As a Key member of the Transport Compliance & Legal Team, you will be responsible for supporting the Head of Compliance, in ensuring effective and accurate compliance and maintenance of the vehicles on a daily basis and ensuring fleet and driver compliance is up to date at all times.
Responsible for:
Fleet & Vehicle Management
- Planning and booking of vehicle maintenance
- Support Vehicle maintenance & control, costs
- Support Maintenance records - tracking & upkeep
- Support with Supplier management and audits
- Support Temporary vehicle control (inc. Insurance notification)
- Trailer inspection & condition control
- Gatehouse checks & Cab cleanliness & vehicle condition control
- New damage & vehicle defect form control
- VDU head download & record upkeep
- Support Driver infringement control
- Attendance of meetings
- Support Accident management where applicable
- Web fleet KPIs, Fuel tracker, Vehicle Mileage
- Accident investigations & Insurance
- Support digitalisation of transport admin
- Agency & Driver inductions & Training
- Driver Assessments and LST training.
- General assistance to the Transport office team
- Weekend and out of hours support where applicable
- Issuing ad hoc ‘Agency Driver Declaration Forms’
- Checking drivers’ licenses and CPC
- Driver briefing and debriefing – in accordance with the Briefing/Debriefing Compliance Record
- Cover for holidays when required Hours are 40 per week Monday to Friday 08.30am – 17.00pm. Weekends may be required at times plus any reasonable requirements associated with the position
- Managers CPC desirable but not essential
- HGV license
- Driver assessor qualified but not essential
- Must have a good level of English and Maths
- Must be computer literate including MS Office, email, spreadsheets and transport databases
- Self-managing with good attention to detail
- Methodical and thorough approach to work
- Highly organised with the ability to remain focused under pressure
- Ability to multi-task and juggle priorities to meet requirements
- Ability to adhere to processes
- Must have a ‘Can Do Attitude’ and a desire to improve
- Flexible – a “team player”
