Transport Supervisor

EWT ltd in Darenth are currently looking for a Transport Supervisor on a full\-time basis. This role is office based and requires good organisational, communication and administration skills. Previous experience within a commercial fleet environment is preferable but not essential.

Day\-to\-day responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

· To meet and exceed the required standards of performance and service from the transport section of the operations area in line with current vehicle laws and regulations for the fleet of vehicles and operators.

• To provide an efficient and effective service within the operations area of the business to all customers, both internal and external.


• Responsible for Drivers and Commercial Vehicle fleet.


• Responsible for the accurate planning of daily deliveries and collections.


• Completing relevant delivery paperwork.


• Overall responsibility for the daily up\-keep, inspection, and cleanliness of vehicles.


• Responsible for reporting any accidents or incidents involving the vehicle fleet or your staff, both on and off the premises.


• Undertake any additional tasks as requested by the EWT Express Manager


• Overall planning and running of a fleet of temperature\-controlled vans, 18 tonne and 26 tonne vehicles.

• Basic computer knowledge (MS Office)

• The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines


• Driving licence Cat B, van driving experience preferably, own transport is required due to site location.

· Days of work: SUN\-THUR 6am – 3pm OR 10am – 7pm (Flexibility required)

· First 4 weeks of training: MON\-FRI 10am\-7pm

· 45hrs a week

· Salary: £35,000\-£40,000 per annum depending on experience

· Payment every 4 weeks

· Contract type: Permanent
