Transport Planner / Operations

About the Role

We are seeking an organized and proactive Transport Planner to join our logistics team in Sandyford. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating daily transport operations, planning deliveries and collections, maintaining accurate records within the ERP system, and providing excellent customer communication. This role combines transport planning, administration, and warehouse support duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and manage transport jobs within the company's ERP system.


• Plan and schedule daily deliveries and collections efficiently.


• Coordinate the collection and delivery of goods with drivers and customers.


• Provide regular updates to customers regarding delivery schedules and shipment status.


• Ensure transport documentation and records are accurate and up to date.


• Perform general administrative duties to support transport operations.


• Assist with loading and unloading trucks as required.


• Operate a pallet truck safely and effectively.


• Monitor transport schedules and address any operational issues promptly.


• Maintain compliance with company procedures and health and safety regulations.

• Previous experience in transport planning, logistics coordination, or a similar role.


• Experience using ERP systems for job creation and transport administration.


• Strong organizational and time\-management skills.


• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.


• Good computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications.


• Experience operating a pallet truck.


• Ability to work in a fast\-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.


• Strong attention to detail and problem\-solving skills.

• Experience in the transport, logistics, or distribution industry.


• Knowledge of route planning and transport regulations.


• Forklift certification (advantageous but not essential).

• Reliable and punctual.


• Team\-oriented with a positive attitude.


• Able to work independently and take initiative.


• Flexible and adaptable to changing operational requirements.
