Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and detail\-oriented Transport Planner to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and optimising transportation routes, ensuring efficient supply chain operations, and maintaining excellent communication with clients and internal teams. Duties

  • Develop and optimise transportation routes to ensure timely delivery of goods while minimising costs

  • Coordinate with drivers, suppliers, and clients to schedule pickups and deliveries effectively

  • Monitor real\-time transport operations, making adjustments as necessary to address delays or issues

  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, deliveries, and related documentation using Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook

  • Analyse logistical data to identify areas for improvement in efficiency and service quality

  • Communicate clearly with all stakeholders to provide updates and resolve any transport\-related issues promptly

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies during all transportation activities

  • Manage supply chain processes, including inventory levels, order fulfilment, and delivery schedules

  • Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics team
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in management, logistics, or supply chain roles is desirable

  • Valid driving licence with a clean driving record

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and IT systems relevant to logistics management

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively

  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal

  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and customer service orientation

  • Computer literacy with the ability to analyse data and generate reports accurately

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast\-paced environment

  • Previous experience in transportation planning or related fields is advantageous
