The Role
We are recruiting for a Planner / Controller to support our busy operations department. This is a varied and fast\-paced role, ensuring the efficient coordination of bookings, chauffeurs, and vehicle movements to maintain exceptional service standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and allocating jobs to chauffeurs efficiently
- Monitoring live bookings and making operational adjustments where required
- Coordinating transport logistics to ensure smooth service delivery
- Liaising with customers and chauffeurs via phone, email, and booking systems
- Managing daily schedules and maintaining accurate records
- Handling any operational issues promptly and professionally
- Providing excellent customer service at all times
- Monday to Friday
- 8:00am – 4:00pm
- Christmas Day off
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise workloads
- Ability to remain calm and work effectively in a fast\-paced environment
- Good problem\-solving skills and a proactive approach
- Previous experience in transport planning, logistics, dispatch, or operations (preferred but not essential)
- Competent IT skills and the ability to learn booking and dispatch systems
Applicants must be able to reliably commute to Ashton\-under\-Lyne (OL6 7AP) or relocate before starting.
Pay: From £30,000\.00 per year
