SSO Group continues its strong growth and we’re now seeking an experienced Transport Planner to join our high‑performing logistics operation. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast‑paced, professional environment where your skills will make a genuine impact.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning multi‑drop routes across our fleet on TMS


• Arranging backloads to maximise commercial efficiency.


• Driving operational performance with smart, effective planning.


• Managing driver rotas and coordinating daily schedules.


• Ensuring full compliance with UK/EU Driver Hours \& WTD legislation.


• Communicating clearly with drivers, warehouse teams and customers.


• Making commercially‑aware decisions to improve utilisation and reduce cost.

You will plan for a large and varied fleet consisting of:

• 44‑tonne arctics


• 26‑tonne rigids


• 18‑tonne rigids


• Curtain sided vans

What We’re Looking For

• Proven background as a Transport Planner.


• Strong knowledge of driver hours laws, compliance and transport regulation.


• Ability to plan multi‑drop routes with speed and accuracy.


• Commercial awareness and a proactive, solution‑focused approach.


• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure.


• CPC Qualification desirable
