Duties
- Manage and supervise the transport office team to ensure smooth daily operations and exceptional service delivery
- Oversee transportation management systems (TMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems to plan routes, track shipments, and analyze performance metrics
- Coordinate shipping and receiving schedules, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with safety regulations
- Monitor profit and loss statements related to transportation activities, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process enhancements
- Supervise third\-party logistics (3PL) providers and negotiate contracts to optimize service quality and cost efficiency
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives within transportation workflows, leveraging data from warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 platforms
- Oversee warehouse operations related to shipping, receiving, forklift usage, and warehouse experience to support overall supply chain objectives
- Proven supervising experience in transportation or logistics environments with a focus on process improvement
- Strong knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms, and AS400 systems
- Hands\-on experience with shipping \& receiving procedures, forklift operation, and warehouse activities
- Demonstrated ability to manage profit \& loss accounts effectively while driving operational efficiencies
- Familiarity with supply chain principles, logistics best practices, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating across teams, carriers, vendors, and stakeholders
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast\-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Pay: £35,000\.00\-£40,000\.00 per year
