Transport Manager

Super Smart Service Ltd (SSS) established in December 2015 in the West Midlands, UK. We are a large\-scale multinational logistics company under the Zong Teng Group. Our main business is to provide Chinese domestic cross\- border e\-sellers and local online retailers in the UK to expand reliable warehousing business and timely delivery service platforms on international platforms. The operation started by providing reliable fulfilment warehousing solutions and prompt final mile distribution service for our cross\-border e\-sellers and UK local online retailers such as eBay, Amazon and other platforms. Over the past few years, we have formed strong working relationships with partners like Royal Mail, Yodel, Evri, China Post, DPD, XDP, Palletways as well as Goodcang, YunExpress and other logistic giants. Currently, our warehouses have expanded all over the world with 10\+ warehouses in the UK and the business is still expanding continually. We have sites in Walsall, Lichfield, Cannock, Worcester, Wolverhampton, Stone, Derby and Alfreton areas.
The Role:
We are seeking an experienced and qualified Transport Manager to support and oversee our growing transport operation in the UK.
Currently, our fleet consists of 2 Class 1 vehicles and 2 Class 2 vehicles, with plans to expand to a total of 6 vehicles in the near future. The required on\-site working hours can be discussed and negotiated based on operational needs.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring transport compliance, driver standards, and fleet operations are managed in accordance with UK transport regulations. This role is compliance\-focused and does not require day\-to\-day driver task allocation or route planning responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure full compliance and operator licence requirements
- Oversee and maintain transport compliance procedures and records
- Conduct driver inductions, assessments, and ongoing driver training
- Support vehicle maintenance compliance, inspections, MOT schedules, and defect reporting processes
- Ensure all transport operations comply with health \& safety standards
- Maintain accurate compliance documentation and audit records
- Provide compliance guidance and recommendations to management
- Valid Transport Manager CPC / TACO qualification
- Strong understanding of UK transport compliance and Operator Licence requirements
- At least one year of relevant experience
- Experience managing transport compliance within HGV operations
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and proactively
