Role Purpose
The Transport Coordinator supports the day\-to\-day running of Mammafiore UK's transport operation across our London and Manchester sites. The role focuses on coordinating routes and drivers, tracking performance through KPIs, analysing operational data, and working closely with the Warehouse, Transport, Customer Service and Purchasing teams to keep deliveries running on time and efficiently.
The Transport Coordinator will work under the direction of the Transport Manager, helping to manage day and night shift teams, define daily priorities, and drive continuous improvement across the transport operation.
Key Responsibilities
Transport Operations
- Coordinate the daily transport operation across London and Manchester.
- Monitor routes and deliveries, resolving day\-to\-day operational issues as they arise.
- Define and communicate daily priorities to warehouse and transport teams.
- Liaise with the Warehouse, Customer Service and Sales teams on delivery requirements.
- Support the Transport Manager in maximising fleet utilisation and operational efficiency.
- Implement and maintain KPIs for on\-time delivery, fleet utilisation and driver performance.
- Collect, analyse and report on transport data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Produce regular performance dashboards and reports for the Transport Manager and Head of Operations.
- Recommend data\-driven improvements to routes, scheduling and resource allocation.
- Coordinate day and night shift warehouse and transport teams to ensure smooth handovers.
- Act as a first point of contact for drivers during their shifts, escalating issues where required.
- Support onboarding and day\-to\-day guidance for new transport team members.
- Promote clear communication and accountability across the team.
- Support the Transport Manager with fleet inspections, servicing schedules and documentation.
- Help ensure vehicle records and compliance documentation are accurate and up to date.
- Flag vehicle defects, maintenance needs and compliance issues promptly.
- Support the development and rollout of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Help introduce new systems, tools and digital processes to the transport operation.

Essential
- Minimum of A\-levels (or equivalent secondary education); a Master's degree is an advantage but not required.
- Proven ability to implement and track KPIs.
- Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to turn data into clear, actionable insight.
- Experience managing or coordinating teams.
- Ability to define priorities and work well under pressure in a fast\-paced environment.
- Excellent organisational, communication and problem\-solving skills.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- High attention to detail.
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Experience within food distribution or FMCG.
- Experience with transport management systems or route\-planning software.
- Previous experience in a logistics or warehouse coordination role.
- Proactive and solutions\-focused.
- Highly organised, with strong prioritisation skills.
- Confident working with data and comfortable making recommendations from it.
- Strong leadership and team\-coordination skills.
