Transport Compliance Manager
Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail\-oriented Transport Compliance Manager to work alongside our external Transport Manager. You will lead our transportation operations with a focus on regulatory adherence and quality assurance. In this pivotal role, you will help oversee compliance standards across all transport activities, ensuring safety, efficiency and legal conformity. Your proactive approach will help optimize logistics processes, maintain high safety standards and uphold the company's reputation for excellence in transportation management. Duties
- Implement and monitor transportation compliance policies aligned with local, national, and international regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections to verify adherence to safety protocols, legal requirements and quality assurance standards.
- Lead investigations into compliance violations or safety incidents, providing detailed reports and corrective action plans.
- Provide training and guidance to drivers on compliance procedures, safety practices and quality assurance measures.
- Maintain comprehensive records of compliance activities, audit results, incident reports, and corrective actions.
- Driver appraisals and inductions.
- Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, safety standards and quality assurance principles.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulatory documents and operational data.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing compliance programs within logistics or transportation sectors.
- Exceptional communication skills for training teams, conducting audits and reporting findings clearly.
- Ability to lead investigations thoroughly while maintaining a proactive approach to risk mitigation.
- Detail\-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple compliance initiatives simultaneously.
- Proficiency in record\-keeping, reporting and data analysis.
Pay: From £32,000\.00 per year
