Transport & Warehouse Administrator
Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and organised Transport & Warehouse Administrator to join their busy Distribution & Warehouse team.
This is a varied role supporting the planning and movement of goods to customer delivery locations, whilst also providing administrative support across transport and warehouse operations.
The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, be confident managing multiple priorities and have excellent attention to detail when processing orders, transport documentation and customer information.
Responsibilities
- Receiving, processing and monitoring customer orders
- Manually inputting customer orders where required
- Allocating and arranging haulage through directly managed fleets, third-party providers and external partners
- Working within agreed cost parameters when arranging transport
- Scheduling loads and collections and maintaining booking-in schedules
- Recording and updating KPI’s and producing reports for senior management
- Liaising with site staff to coordinate the arrival and booking-in of hauliers
- Processing and printing dispatch documentation
- Working with warehouse teams to ensure vehicles are loaded and turned around efficiently
- Obtaining and recording proof of deliveries where required
- Liaising with customers to arrange haulage, collections and delivery slots
- Supporting the preparation and control of customs and export documentation
- Processing transactions and uploading sales orders to external customer platforms
- Supporting stock accuracy, non-conformance management and stock adjustments
- Processing orders for shipments from external warehouse locations
- Coordinating priorities for collections and picking from external warehouse locations
- Supporting documentation for the movement of goods between warehouse locations
- Liaising with external warehouse teams to maintain accurate stock records
- Ensuring all customer platform activity is completed accurately and in line with procedures and KPI’s
- Maintaining and archiving relevant transport and warehouse documentation
- Providing cover for other Transport Planners during periods of absence
- Supporting other transport and administrative duties as required
- Following all company health and safety policies, procedures and standards
- Experience within FMCG or another fast-moving consumer goods environment would be highly beneficial
- Excellent IT literacy, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel
- SAP and WMS experience would be advantageous
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Good organisational and administrative skills
