Transport Administrator
Reports To: Logistics Manager
As a well established but growing specialist transport company operating in industries from Railway, construction, engineering to Events we require a transport administrator to join our transport operations department. Reporting to the logistics manager in this busy fast paced department you will be a key member of the planning and management team assisting in all administrative areas of the daily transport operation. We are a growing business and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to grow and progress along with it.
Responsibilities:
Taking inbound calls and liaising with planning department
Communicating with the drivers, informing them of their work and updating them of any changes throughout the day
Input jobs on to the company bespoke software transport operations Fleet Wizard and sending the daily work to the drivers PDAs
Updating drivers of their daily work both verbally and via text message
Communicating with drivers and strengthening the relationship with the planning team
Booking movement orders through ESDAL
Booking collection and delivery slots
Working closely with the accounts department should any invoice queries occur
Advising customers of any demurrage charges and processing them on Fleet Wizard
Monitor vehicle tracking system ensuring vehicle deliveries and collections are on schedule
Weekly administration of drivers timesheets and POD folders
Working with the transport operations team providing general admin support
Hours: 08:00 \- 17:00
Lunch: 1 hour
Job Types: Full\-time, Permanent
Pay: £27,000\.00 per year
